Eight simple steps to get FICA’d.
Follow the screens below to create your account, complete your profile, and provide the documents needed for manual FICA review.

Step 1
Sign Up
Choose Sign Up and create a secure PIN for your device. Keep this PIN private because it protects access to your iKWAZA account.

Step 2
Your Home Screen
After you sign in, you will land on your Home screen. This is the main landing page where you will see your wallet, payment tools, account options, and account history.
Do not worry if you do not see any history or funds yet. Your account handle will appear as a long series of letters and numbers. Before using everything, let us get you FICA’d.

Open More
Select More to open the list of available account options. In the FICA section you will see buttons for Profile Info, Selfie Photo, ID or Passport, and Proof of Address. Start by selecting Profile Info.

Step 4
Complete Profile Information
Complete your profile type, full account-holder name, telephone number, cellphone number, and email address. Make sure the information matches your identity document, then select Save.

Add a Selfie Photo
Take or upload a recent selfie, then select Save. Centre your face, use good lighting, and make sure the image is clear and correctly aligned. A poor-quality or incorrectly positioned image may delay the FICA process.

Step 6
Add an ID or Passport
Enter the document number, choose the correct document type, and upload a photo of your ID or passport. Align the document correctly and make sure the entire document is visible, readable, and photographed in good light. A poor-quality or incorrectly positioned image may delay the FICA process.

Step 7
Add Proof of Address
Enter your residential address and upload a document showing the same address. Check that every detail is correct, the document is less than three months old, and the image is complete and easy to read. An incorrect or poor-quality upload may delay the FICA process. Step 8
Wait for FICA Confirmation
Once you have completed and saved all your FICA information, wait for confirmation. The iKWAZA team will review your details and contact you if anything needs to be corrected. After approval, your account will be activated.
To register as a merchant and use point-of-sale features, follow the registration steps in the Point of Sale section. Merchant registration requires a few additional business and verification steps.
